2 - 3 december

SvaraRaderaWent out to Fraser Island on a twodaytrip. It was an extraordinary adventure. On Fraser Island one usualy drives 80km/h rafter the stand-edge. But because of high tides and an unusually strong wind, the beach was soft like a rice pudding.
SvaraRaderaWe ran into trouble almost immediately out on the beach and the bus got stuck several times. We all got out and the whole gang pushed! We were 14 people in the four-wheel-drive bus besides the driver and the tourleader.
The tourleader realized that it was impossible to take the beach and said that we had to go for a forestroad (Forset-roads in Norrbotten is the Autobahn in comparison).
Our tourguide Francis just said cheerfullr that there would be a little "Rock and Roll". This meant that every passanger, buckled up or not, knocked their head in the roof of the Jeep when he rushed over all roots and stones in the rainforest.
We were driven up to a beautiful lake where we had to take a bath and rest from the "Rock and Roll".
They say you get 10 years younger by swiming there so now we have to book a new 50-year journey in 10 years. The day ended with a flat tire, almost at the camp, so we had to walk the last bit and it was a bit exciting... Theres alot of toxic things that run and crawl around in the rain forest. The day after, it was easyer to go on the beach so we got to see the sights around the sea. But before we were back at the hotel we had to push the bus a few more times. Back at the hotel in Rainbow Beach we celebrated with a nice dinner with wine.
